Christmas is here!

The Christmas season started with a visit to the Christmas parade. While M.E.'s patience didn't last through the parade she really did enjoy walking up and down Main Street and visiting with everyone. She loved listening to the community band play Christmas music. We put the tree up this past Sunday and it was a huge hit. M.E. loves the tree and ornaments. She had to tell the tree good night before she would go to bed! We finished the day Sunday by watching the 1960's Rudolf classic and M.E. is a true fan. She was glued to the tv throughout and asked to watch it after school today. It is going to be a great Christmas!

Loving Jojo

Pat and Jojo came to play one day last week and Mary Elizabeth climbed up in Jojo's lap to hug. Grandparents are good but I think great-grandparents are the best!

Little Momma

Mary Elizabeth has been really excited about caring for her baby lately. We spend a great deal of time dressing the baby, feeding the baby and unfortunately abusing the baby!

Horse show!

Doodle and I attended our second show on Nov 15. Doodle was a good girl and improved her score (58%) from her first show. Mary Elizabeth has a great time as well!

It's great to be a kid!

Just a few random shots from the past week or so that made me realize how great life is! To get the giggles because you have a bucket on your head, or be excited to help mom at the barn or content hanging out with dad (as dad sleeps!) is great!!

Fall Festival

We went to the fall festival at Mary Elizabeth's school Friday night. She enjoyed playing with one of her classmates and seeing her teachers. One of the directors at her school is a member of a band and M.E. loved listening to them.

Halloween 2009

Okay, I downloaded the photos a little out of order, but they are all here! Halloween started with a trip downtown for trick or treating Friday afternoon. M.E. had fun, but she refused to wear her costume. I can't say I blame her it was really hot. It was crazy downtown, the streets were packed. M.E. was a little nervous, but she held hands and walked the entire length (down and back plus a few side streets and a trip to the walking track) of Main Street watching all the craziness. Saturday night we made the loop to see all our family members in town. The trip started with a trip to Poppy and B's house. M.E. was treated to a mini golf game, Auburn t-shirt and her own flash light. The next stop was Pat and Jojo's. M.E. got new colors, coloring books and animal crackers. Next on the Halloween trail was Annie and Jim's house. They had animal crackers and yougurt raisins. M.E. also got to pet their cat, Shelby. The last stop was LuLu and Joe's house. Peggy came over there as well, since her house is too far away for us to visit on Halloween yet. Joe had been very busy decorating the porch for our arrival. All the lights were off except for small lanterns on the sidewalk and orange lights aroundthe door. There was also a very scary scarecrow on the porch to greet us. M.E. was not at all concerned though. She walked right up an patted him on the leg! LuLu had new colors, cookies and blocks as treats for M.E. We finished the night with a chili and sandwich dinner before heading home. It was really a fun night and M.E. had a blast!
