Spring Break

We had a busy but fun Spring Break. The week started with our first visit to Chuck E Cheese. We helped ME's friend Zoe celebrate her 2nd birthday. All in all the visit went well. ME wanted to run on stage and hug the big mouse character and she enjoyed the little slide and riding toys. She would have nothing to do with the pizza (can't be my kid!) and had her first taste of Sprite. On Moday we did our grocery shopping and the vet came to do horse innoculations in the afternoon. Tuesday Scottie came to help me shop for the new house and Ms. Vonda (church nursery worker) came to babysit ME. Wednesday Peggy, Nancy and Jessica came to see the new house, then we all headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch. ME had so much fun paling around with Jess. ME wants to be big! Thursday I took ME to the doctor because her cough had gotten so bad, but of course there was nothing to diagnose so we continued with over the counter medicine. Friday we went on our first zoo trip! LuLu and I loaded up the girl and headed to out. ME had a great time. I will take the Radio Flyer wagon on the next trip! ME walked or I carried her for 3 hours! I think we will make many zoo trips this summer. The house continues to inch toward completion. The cabinets are in and the walls have paint on them. It is looking good, but we are probably still 4-5 weeks away from moving in.

Arbor Day trees

We had such a nice weekend. My girl LOVES to be outside. We spent all day Saturday outside and Sunday afternoon as well. I even took her DVD player outside so we could watch a movie and mommy could rest! Mike and ME planted the trees from Arbor Day in pots Sunday so they will be ready to move to our new house!

Progress continues

The majority of the decking is complete and the sheetrock appears to be finished. It was just a few sticks and bricks for so long and now it looks like a house! I am ready to move!

Big Girl!

When I got Mary Elizabeth up this morning she asked to wear "big panties". I wasn't sure if it was a great idea or not (the last time was over Christmas and it didn't go very well!) but I went ahead and put them on and took her to school. I also took a change of clothes, pair of socks and shoes along with us to school, just in case. ME made it the whole day with only 1 accident (the kind that didn't get her clothes wet!). I think my little girl is becoming a big girl!

Visit with Pat and Jojo

After I got Mary Elizabeth from school today we went to visit Pat and Jojo. She loves to go see them! She knows where all of her stuff is and that Pat always has Ritz crackers for her. We read some books, watched some TV and ME ran around the house. ME got 2 crackers for the road and gave hugs, then we headed home. We had only been in the car for a minute when ME started nodding her head and said "I had fun!"I am so glad Pat and Jojo moved here from Kansas so that my little girl could know them so well.
