New pony?

We have acquired a pony that I hope will be Mary Elizabeth's pony one day. Boodroe is a 14 yr old quarter horse who has had some lameness issues so he cannot continue as a reining horse. He seems really sweet and kind. Alyson got on him this week and he was very agreeable. We'll see how he works out!

House continued

The work on our new house continues. It is so exciting to see the progress every day. It would be perfect if we could move in over Spring Break!

2nd Birthday!

We celebrated ME's birthday on Sunday January 17th. The day started with a trip to see JoJo at his temporary "apartment". ME quickily made herself at home running the halls playing with her Wonder Pets Flyboat that Pat and JoJo gave her. She also got her colors and coloring book out and colored with JoJo. When we got home it was time for nap, but since she had slept about 30 minutes in the car she would have no part of nap. She had quiet time for about an hour then it was time to head to LuLu's for more birthday! Guests were Poppy, B, Elizabeth Boone, Annie, Jim, Scottie, Peggy, LuLu, Joe and mom and dad of course. Presents included a Raggedy Ann doll, Chloe doll, bathtime Dora and Boots, books, clothes, movies and a dollhouse. ME had a great time. She blew out her own candle, ate most of a cupcake, but wanted nothing to do with the ice cream. She put it in her mouth then handed it back to me. Today was MLK Day and we went for ME's 2 year checkup, headed to a "doc in the box" because I feel rotten, then we both took naps. We finished the day by heading to a friend's quarter horse barn and looked at a horse for ME. He is a give away due to some lameness issues, but he has been a really fine reining horse. We are picking him up next week for a trial, so I'll post pics and more info then.

Framing on the house

The basement got framed in this past week, now onward and upward! I am ready to see the main floor framed so I can get a better idea of the layout and room sizes. We have been looking at the architect drawings since June!

Sick girl

ME started the week with a cough that got progressively worse. By Wed. afternoon she had a fever so we headed to the doctor Thursday. Dr. Russell heard "crackling" in one of her lungs which can mean infection so we started antibiotics. ME was very droopy and pretty pitiful Thursday. After her nap I made sher a little nest in her recliner and she watched most of her "ho, ho, ho" movie (Santa Claus is Coming to Town). Friday she was more like herself, but she was still running a fever most of the day and pretty grumpy. Today there is no fever, so she is back to normal other than the cough, which the doctor said could hang on for a week or so. Birthday party tomorrow, so I am glad she feels better!

First playdate at our house

School was cancelled today due to a threat of snow, so ME and I are at home. ME's friend Bella has come to spend the morning with us because neither of her parents could stay home today. The girls are having a good time so far. ME has only had one meltdown because she didn't want to share her stuff!
