Storytime Live!

Mike, ME and I went to see Nick Jr's stage show, Storytime Live this past Wednesday at the BJCC. I was nervous to take a 2 1/2 year old to an 1 1/2 hour show, but I should not have been! ME was a star. She laughed and interacted with the characters at all the appropriate times and otherwise sat watched the show like a big girl. I even got her to potty during intermission! The worst part was leaving becasue she didn't want it to be over. She is still talking about it and wore her t-shirt to bed that night and all day the next day. Gross I know, but hey I pick my battles. She went into meltdown mode when I finally took the shirt off last night. All in all it was a great experience and I can't wait to take her to see more shows.

Fun in the new house

Mary Elizabeth is enjoying her new place. The front room has become a real playroom for all of her stuff! She loves to entertain her favorite guests (Pat and JoJo). Snack time is even better on the new couch watching her favorite shows.

Memorial Day 2010

Mary Elizabeth has settled into her new routine at the new house quite nicely. We enjoyed Memorial Day in the new backyard. Mike worked on installing a fence and ME and I colored with sidewalk chalk and played in the grass.

New house

We are finally in our new house! Most everything was moved this weekend, but I hope to be done at the end of next week. ME slept really well in her new room ( we have been talking about it A LOT!). Mike made breakfast this morning and we all sat at the kitchen table and ate breakfast. Pics to follow soon!

First Dentist visit

ME had her first trip to the dentist this past Wednesday. She only has 3 lower front teeth where there should be 4. It hasn't been a concern yet, but she started to complain that her mouth hurt so I was afraid that there was another tooth trying to get through. The dentist was great. Pixar and Disney designs were everywhere as well as playing on multiple TVs. ME was a good girl and had Xrays taken and let the dentist count her teeth. Everything is okay in her mouth and we are going back for our first cleaning on July 21st. I hope the visit goes as well! I took ME for a special surprise after the dentist. Her first visit to Build A Bear was fun and resulted in "Ducky" being the most recent animal friend!

New bed

ME climbed out of the crib during naptime this past Saturday. We took the crib rail off and I headed to Walmart for a bed rail. So far the transition has gone well. Nighttime is easier than naptime. She knows that she needs to stay in her bed and that I am proud of her when she stays in her bed, but it is so hard to be good! I guess this begins a new stage in our lives.
